3-Day Design Training at KiDH Hub
29 August 2025
From August 25th to 27th, the Kutahya Innovation and Design Hub (KiDH Hub) hosted an intensive three-day training program with more than 50 participants from the Kutahya çini sector. The training aimed to strengthen local craftsmanship by introducing digital tools that can enhance and preserve traditional design practices.
Participants were guided through the basics of 3D modeling software for form creation and 2D design software for pattern development, as well as methods for combining both through artificial intelligence. In addition, the training introduced the KiDH online digital inventory of patterns and forms, a valuable resource that participants can use to develop, share, and expand their work in the future.
The program concluded with a competition judged by experts, with the following winners:
- Best Form: Nurullah Özçelik
- Best Pattern: Rukiye Söyler
- Best Overall (Form & Pattern): Furkan Efe Kocabaş
Initiative not only supports innovation within the çini sector but also provides sustainable tools and platforms to connect traditional artisans with modern markets, and blends heritage crafts with the latest digital tools.
