100 Unique Vases by 100 Artists – All Made in Kütahya
12 February 2025
A special exhibition connecting the past and future of Kütahya Tiles, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye.
Within the framework of the “Improving Digitalization and Creativity Ecosystem in Kütahya” project, a new artistic initiative has been launched under the leadership of the Kütahya Innovation and Design Hub (KIDH): 100 unique vases, each created by a different artist.
This initiative reimagines Kütahya Tiles by merging traditional roots with contemporary forms and modern design language. The resulting collection stands out through its diverse patterns and varied vase dimensions, showcasing a remarkable harmony of heritage and innovation.
Blending Kütahya’s artisanal legacy with modern perspectives, the collection is also a meaningful cultural tribute to the Republic’s centennial. The exhibition is curated by internationally acclaimed designer and academic Mirko Tattarini.
The participating artists represent a vibrant dialogue between tradition and innovation, weaving cultural values, personal styles, and symbols into distinctive works. These creations elevate tile art beyond a visual craft into a compelling storytelling medium.
