KİDH Takes Part in Kütahya Design Week 2026

22 October 2026

Kütahya Innovation and Design Hub (KİDH) participated in Kütahya Design Week 2026, held on 8–10 October under the theme “Form · Texture · Taste.” Bringing together art, design, craft and gastronomy, the event offered fresh perspectives on Kütahya’s rich cultural heritage.

From Cultural Heritage to the Future of Design

Welcoming participants from Türkiye and abroad, Kütahya Design Week showcased the city’s creative spirit through talks, workshops, exhibitions and cultural encounters. The programme connected traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, exploring subjects ranging from çini and ceramics to visual communication, urban identity and local culinary traditions.

The event brought together the Eurasian Ceramics Congress, the Kütahya Çini Symposium, the Kütahya Gastronomy Festival and the Creative Cultural Industries Summit. This interdisciplinary programme highlighted Kütahya’s cultural assets not only as a legacy to preserve, but also as a source of inspiration for future creative practice.

Connecting Design, Making and Creativity through KİDH

For KİDH, which places particular importance on connecting traditional craft with innovative design, Kütahya Design Week offered a valuable meeting point aligned with the hub’s areas of activity. Exploring materials, craftsmanship and creative thinking together underscored the importance of both safeguarding cultural heritage and keeping it alive through new interpretations.

At KİDH, we are delighted to have been part of an event that connected Kütahya’s design and production culture with a wide range of creative disciplines. We remain committed to supporting collaborative practice and creative initiatives that carry the city’s knowledge and skills into the future.

We thank all the artists, designers, craftspeople, speakers, participants and partners who contributed to Kütahya Design Week 2026.
