Life-Long Learning Week: Kütahya Public Education Center Highlights Vocational and Craft Training

KÜTAHYA – June, 2025  — The Kütahya Public Education Center placed its expanding vocational and craft-education programs in the spotlight during this year’s Life-Long Learning Week held between May 26 and June 1, drawing strong public interest with demonstrations, performances, and a major scholastic year-end exhibition.

As one of the city’s most active hubs for adult education, the Center continues to train hundreds of residents in fields ranging from computer literacy and applied vocational courses to traditional crafts, such as ceramics, embroidery, woodworking, and folk dance. This broad curriculum reflects both the city’s economic needs and its cultural heritage.

Life-Long Learning Week, organized under the Ministry of National Education, featured a rich program of activities showcasing the diversity and impact of these courses. Visitors enjoyed music and folk-dance performances, sports demonstrations, and a crafts exhibition presenting work created across dozens of training programs. Together, the events highlighted how vocational instruction and heritage-based craft education reinforce one another within the Center’s mission.

Provincial Director of National Education Mustafa Yılmaz praised the successful organization of the celebrations, expressing gratitude to the master instructors, teachers, administrators, and dedicated course participants whose efforts brought the week to life. Yılmaz extended his congratulations to the entire community on the occasion of Life-Long Learning Week.
